“Remembering
the Earthquakes”: Supporters of Frackfree
America National Coalition, based in Youngstown, Ohio, will attend a prayer
service conducted by Reverend Monica
Beasley-Martin to commemorate the upcoming seventh anniversary
of the now-famous December 31, 2011 Youngstown, Ohio, magnitude 4.0, man-made earthquake
linked to a fracking waste injection well.
Concerned citizens will gather for the prayer on public
property on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the gazebo on
the village green at Brookfield Center, Brookfield,
Ohio 44403
With yet another fracking waste injection well being proposed for our
region in Hubbard Township this year, in addition to the five (yes-five!)
proposed injection wells for Brookfield, Ohio, concerned citizens are even more
concerned about the public health, safety, and well-being of our neighborhoods
and homes. Concerned citizens say that
the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) must halt the injection wells
since they pose an unacceptable risk to water, air, and land, including
potential injection-well related, man-made earthquakes.
Ohio cannot be used as a
toxic fracking waste dumping ground, they say.
Therefore, supporters of Frackfree America National Coalition, (FANC) based
in Youngstown, Ohio, will attend a prayer service conducted by Reverend Monica
Beasley-Martin, of Defenders of the Earth Outreach Mission, to commemorate the upcoming seventh anniversary
of the now-famous December 31, 2011 Youngstown, Ohio, magnitude 4.0, man-made earthquake linked to a fracking waste
injection well.[1]
Concerned citizens
will gather for the prayer on public property on Thursday, December 27, 2018,
at 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the gazebo on the village green at Brookfield Center,
Brookfield, Ohio 44403
at 379 Ohio Route

A focus of the
event will be calling for ODNR to halt the injection wells to protect public
health and safety, and for ODNR to keep the media and the public immediately
notified of any potential earthquakes possibly due to injection. This would
include all potential quakes, even those below magnitude 1.0. Transparency is of the utmost importance,
groups say.
